I do welcome new crew, but as of now I have 2 already aboard (that I met via Coboaters), so would like to compliment that with folks with experience. My "racing" is very casual, My boat is a passagemaking boat with lots of sails to play with.

What a gem of a website! When I first started sailing, I had zero clue how/where to connect with other sailors, captains, crew, etc. This summer, Coboaters opened up my life to a whole new community of like-minded people, and I am so excited for more experiences in new places. I've met some wonderful people and have gotten to improve my sailing skills from great mentors!

I have been using the Coboaters network for close to a year now.
I have just completed my third passage using the Crew Finder tool to fill out my crew. It has provided many qualified applicants for me to choose. My only regret is I can’t take them all. Every crew has been different and fun. Not a single mismatch.
Passages I’ve used Coboaters for include West Palm Beach to Great Harbour Bahamas, Newport RI to Annapolis, Wilmington NC to St. Augustine and West Palm Beach.

I have been learning to sail this summer and have been able to get 70+ hours out on the water with very generous captains who are open to teaching and sharing their boats. The sailing community I have found is amazing. I am really getting the hang of it. Already can’t wait for next season!

What a glorious summer, 2022 with Coboaters. As a crew member I was able to experience 3 sails and an excursion on a catamaran. The people I met were exceptional...captains and other crew members. Plus we learned so much about respecting the ocean while having fun. Love this community.

Coboaters has been an excellent tool for me to find delivery crew. Top notch sailors I would not have found otherwise. The profile section seems intimidating and maybe a bit much, but the effort to fill it out makes for a much easier way to find and vet compatible crew.

Thanks very much for your service and personal attention! I'm getting things sorted out and hope to optimize my use of your site.

Ideally, I am looking to skipper a boat for a week or two (or perhaps longer) for folks that are not yet comfortable sailing on their own. They would provide the boat and provisioning, and I would offer my services at no cost. A fair exchange, I hope.
