Women’s Sailing Conference 2025

Join Narragansett Sailing School for a one-day Women’s Conference to meet fellow female boaters and enjoy an introductory taste of your own selection of programming. We have ten topics available and you’ll have time in the day to dive into your favorite four.

  • Docking:

Diesel: unravel the mystery of a diesel engine

Boat Systems: take a glimpse into the galley systems, mechanical systems, steering, and plumbing system of your boat.

Racing sailboats: Learn the terminology and tactics used in the sport of racing sailboats.

🧵 Sewing Room: make a bag or pillow cover on your own. Our upholstery classes are great for new skills, confidence, and creating one-of-a-kind items!

🪢 Rigging: an overview of different lines, shackles, how to check rigging, and how to chase lines.

🧭 Navionics: learns the ins and outs of Navionics.

Monohull or Catamaran: Learn the differences of the two — clearly and simply.

🧭 Navigation: read a navigational chart, plot a fix, and figure out where you are, even if electronics fail.

🧭 Outboard Engine: learn about a 4 stroke engine and how to troubleshoot problems.
