About me

I live a couple hours from the Gulf coast and I have spent the last 5 years gradually learning how to sail. At this point I'm pretty confident skippering a keelboat up to 28ft or so, with outboard aux power. I've done racing and short cruises in sheltered waters along the Florida Panhandle. I'm not able to buy a boat yet due to other commitments, however I'd like to meet other sailors who are in a similar situation who might want to share the cost of bareboat charter in Florida or somewhere else. Of course I'm also open to crewing on someone's boat if I can get some coastal cruising experience. I just retired from the USAF. My new job allows me frequent long weekends as well as the ability to take a 7-10 day break once in a while for a sailing trip. Fair winds!
