My father did numerous Atlantic crossings with a beautiful wooden boat. I used to help him sail from summer to winter storage locations and I guess you could say I caught the bug. I have owned several smaller sailboats and sailed in the local waters around Stonington CT USA. I am in the process of fitting out a 28 foot Pearson which I intend to launch in September and sail the East Coast waterways down to Florida and then go through the Bahamas and on to Columbia. I will wait there for some time before continuing to Panama and the Pacific Ocean. I would like to get to know a crew member before having them join the boat.
