Hi! I'm an outgoing , retired professional, educated, reasonably world-traveled, guy living in Hartford CT area.

I enjoyed learning to sail and race small boats on long island sound as a child and then took up windsurfing once landlocked during college and most of the following 20+ years. Past 6 years I have been gaining experience crewing on 27' to 60' sailboats on day sails, overnight and week+ cruises.

I always enjoy opportunities to sail from sunfish, dinghy's, small cats, etc. and I am comfortable taking the helm, following a course, trimming the sails, helping dock and grab a mooring up to 60' with knowledgeable companions. I can take day and night watches, am a pretty good cook and I expect I could handle provisioning for a few days at least. I would like to get certifications eventually and I generally looking to add skills, gain miles at sea and sail with others seeking companionable times on lakes and oceans!

Don't hesitate to reach out to kick around possibilities! A day or up to 2 week trip to, from or along Atlantic Seaboard might be a good fit!

Recent experiences include: 2023:

• salty dawg rally offshore straight from marsh harbor Bahamas to Stamford CT in May with 4 of us sharing watches on Bruckman 50. 2022:
• Salty Dawg Rally from Norfolk to Antigua as sole crew joining owners aboard their 60' Sundeer making the trip in 11 days taking 12-4 solo watches.
• Sole crew on mostly offshore motor sail from Block Island to Camden Maine and a few more days sailing and moored as we explored the coast aboard an amazing Sundeer 60 with wonderful owners. Was pleased to be subsequently invited to crew on trip above.
• Mostly offshore 4 day sail from Beaufort NC to Newport aboard a Lagoon 42(?) with a single stop in cape may with owner and 1 other crew.
• 12 days in Bahamas and to FL aboard 45' Amel Santorin ketch with owner and 1 other crew. Trip included mix of sailing and motoring and 2 overnight sails with solo watches. 2021:
• 4 day coastal cruise aboard 40' custom cutter from Jamestown, RI up through cape cod canal to Salem, MA as solo crew with owner and passenger. Anchored & moored.
• 8 day coastal cruise about C&C 12 meter with owner and 2 other crew from Port Jefferson, NY to Nantucket (including overnight solo watches) and then back with stops at Martha's and Jamestown. Ongoing:
• Very casual Thursday night racing crew and day sailing aboard Ericson 30+ about a dozen times last summer.
